THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CADENZA (K Minnie) and ON AN IMPULSE (C Zackey) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h16) b) CADENZA (K Minnie) was carried out by MIO DESTINO (L Mxothwa), which jumped outwards shortly after the start. c) MIO DESTINO (L Mxothwa) over raced in the early and middle stages. d) PRICELESS PEARL (MK Katjedi) was steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of MIO DESTINO (L Mxothwa), which shifted inwards slightly at approximately the 800m. e) HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ (C Little) was hanging in from the 250m. f) CADENZA (K Minnie) raced green. g) In view of the performance of MIO DESTINO (L Mxothwa), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer SB Kotzen was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. h) The saddle on MISSOURI FLAME (M Yeni) slipped back in running. This was confirmed by the Veterinary Surgeon. i) ON AN IMPULSE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
