THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN CLEVER (L Mxothwa) and ROTOTO (C Little) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h13) b) Permission was granted for SUPREME JUDGE (C Zackey) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Shortly after the start CAPTAIN CLEVER (L Mxothwa) had to steady off the heels of SUPREME JUDGE (C Zackey), was directed outwards and made contact with ROTOTO (C Little). d) SUPREME JUDGE (C Zackey) and WILD FIG (R Fourie) were hanging in from the 300m. e) DONNY'S BOY (C Habib) was hanging in from the 200m. f) At approximately the 100m ROTOTO (C Little), which was hanging inwards, was directed outwards to avoid running onto the heels of KING RAHUL (*G Dookhit), which commenced to shift inwards from the 150m. g) SUPREME JUDGE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
