THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BOMBER BAY (C Zackey), FIRE TIGER (*G Dookhit) and GREY WARRIOR (R Fourie) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h06) b) CLIFFIE CLAVIN (W Agrella) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) KLEIN JAN (E Webber) shifted outwards away from the crop from the 300m and was corrected. d) Jockey M Yeni did not persevere with his riding of RED LHASA from the 100m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables. Jockeys M Yeni (RED LHASA), MK Katjedi (NORSE WARRIOR) and E Webber (KLEIN JAN) appeared before the Board and were reminded of their obligation to ride their mounts to the finish. e) PROLIFIC STAR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DG Smith was advised.
