THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHIPINDANI (S Moodley) jumped with its head up and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) In view of the performance of DARK MATTER (C Murray) (4.70 lengths, 2/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) Jockey A Mgudlwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that he as the rider of SUMMER WINTER misused his crop by striking this filly more than 12 times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey A Mgudlwa signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2000. c) CALL ME JANE (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
