Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LITTLE NIMBUS (G Wright) was restless in the stalls.

b)	ONSSILVERJET (*S Bungane) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing one length.
c)	THELEIA (S Moodley) jumped slow, losing one length
d) HOP HOP SPINNEKOP (S Veale) was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	At the 900m FANTINE (C Zackey) was steadied to avoid the heels of INNERBLOOM (C Little), which shifted inwards. The Stewards, after interviewing Jockeys C Zackey (FANTINE) and C Little (INNERBLOOM) established that FANTINE (C Zackey) had commenced to over race with an awkward head carriage just prior to this incident and that this had a bearing on the filly having to steady when close to the heels of INNERBLOOM (C Little). Jockey C Little was advised that while the Stewards established that he was insufficiently clear when his mount had shifted inwards, they would afford him the benefit in this case as FANTINE (C Zackey) had contributed to the incident in question. He was advised to ensure that he is sufficiently clear before shifting ground in similar circumstances.
b)	FINAL CALL (A Domeyer) was hanging out from the 400m and shifted out sharply in the latter stages.
c)	At the 350m THELEIA (S Moodley) was directed outwards and into clear running.
d)	FLORIDA CREEK (*V Jodhee) and SPURIOUS (K Steyn) raced green.
e)	In view of the performance of GINGER ROOD (G van Niekerk), which raced prominently in the early stages and tired quickly in the straight, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
f)	In view of the performance of the debut performance of ARKANSAS STATE (C Orffer), which raced green, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
g)	INNERBLOOM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer L Woodruff was advised. (SC)
