Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	FLYING ON MY MIND (*K J Lihaba) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	En route to the start, Jockey G Lerena was dislodged from ROYAL ENGAGEMENT. This colt was taken in hand, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon and passed fit to race. Jockey G Lerena required medical attention, which precluded him from fulfilling his riding engagement. A replacement rider (C Habib) was sought and dispatched to the start. 
b)	Shortly after the start, SPACE MISSION (C Zackey) and ROYAL ENGAGEMENT (C Habib) came together and bumped. 
c)	At approximately the 1100m, REAL STUNNER (M van Rensburg) and NO HESITATION (L Nhlapo) were carried out by SPACE MISSION (C Zackey), which commenced to over-race, was steadied and switched out to avoid running onto the heels of STOKESY (C Murray), which steadied momentarily in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of BRODY (*T Mayhew), which rolled in. The Board, after reviewing this incident, was of the opinion that this was a racing incident and blame could not be apportioned to any individual rider. 
d)	In view of the performance of AFTERBURN (J R Syster), (distance 10,10 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
e)	In view of the performance of FLYING ON MY MIND (*K J Lihaba), (distance 24,80 lengths, betting 125/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
f)	BEIRA (*S Valjalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

g)	SPACE MISSION (C Zackey), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

h)	NO HESITATION (L Nhlapo), unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
