Stipes Report
THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) En route to the start, LAVA FIRE (P Mxoli) spread its right front shoe, which was attended to by the Course Farrier. b) At approximately the 300m, SUTHERLAND (*T Mayhew) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the heels of CLARKSON (M Yeni), which rolled in. c) At approximately the 200m, SUTHERLAND (*T Mayhew) was checked when awkwardly placed between LAVA FIRE (P Mxoli) and ZIP CODE (C Habib), which was eased and switched in to avoid running onto the heels of BRAVE VIKING (*G Samo-Burthia), which shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice G Samo-Burthia was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of BRAVE VIKING, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ZIP CODE (C Habib) and SUTHERLAND (*T Mayhew) when he shifted in at approximately the 200m. Apprentice G Samo-Burthia signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of seven days. Suspension dates: To be advised. Race 6 contd. d) In the concluding stages, ZIP CODE (C Habib), which shifted out away from the crop, was steadied momentarily in anticipation of being awkwardly placed on the heels of SEA SHANTY (J Penny), which rolled in. e) Jockey J Penny reported that SEA SHANTY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) CLARKSON (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer R R Sage advised (MduP). Trainer R R Sage was questioned regarding the poor performance of CLARKSON on the 28th of September 2025. Trainer R R Sage could offer the Board no suitable explanation. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BRAVE VIKING raced equipped with blinkers and without a compression mask (declared 9 November 2025 at 09H42). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SEA SHANTY not striding out right front; blowing post race. b) LAVA FIRE fatigued. SCRATCHED: a) CARNELO off feed (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
