THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AVERNIAN GODDESS (L Mxothwa) was unruly behind the stalls and kicked the back gates in the starting stalls. b) ALESIA'S LOVE (K Minnie) and PRISCILLA MAISEY (M van Rensburg) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h09) b) Permission was granted for SCHIPOLE (C Little) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) AVERNIAN GODDESS (L Mxothwa) and SCHIPOLE (C Little) over raced in the early stages. d) KINGS AGAIN (X Ndlovu) shifted outwards away from the crop from the 250m. e) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that PRISCILLA MAISEY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of SCHIPOLE (C Little), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) AVERNIAN GODDESS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
