Trainer Y Govender acting on behalf of Trainer S G Tarry was advised (SS). b) SEND ME (R A Venniker) was briefly held up for a clear run leaving the 200m. c) In the concluding stages PIED PIPER (*M Mbuto) which hung out throughout, and FRENCH TRIP (K Matsunyane) which rolled in, raced in close quarters and as a consequence Apprentice M Mbuto's (PIED PIPER) crop was accidentally struck from his grasp by Jockey K Matsunyane (FRENCH TRIP). d) PIED PIPER (*M Mbuto), placed sixth, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
