THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RA'ED (S Brown) was slow losing one length. c) BRENDEN JAMES (J Penny) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, NEVER TO CLEVER (G Lerena) which jumped out and BRENDEN JAMES (J Penny) which jumped in, came together and bumped. b) Leaving the 800m, Jockey J Penny (BRENDEN JAMES) adjusted the footing to his left-side stirrup iron. c) BIG FIVE (D Schwarz) hung out from the 400m. d) NEVER TO CLEVER (G Lerena) hung out from the 150m. e) In view of the performance of BRENDEN JAMES (J Penny), (betting 15/2, distance 10,00 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) SPIN DOCTOR (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
