THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RUNTHRUTHEJUNGLE (J Jacobs) was slow into stride. b) WAR EMPEROR (C Dicken) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. Lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) DARE TO TRY (*D D Louw) jumped outwards leaving the starting stalls. b) ERIC'S LEGACY (S Moodley) and WAR EMPEROR (C Dicken) hung out around the turn and in the early part of the straight. c) The neck strap fitted to WAR EMPEROR (C Dicken) became dislodged at the 900m. d) Shortly before entering the straight, HALF SOVEREIGN (D Daniels) was inconvenienced on the outside of the heels of RUNTHRUTHEJUNGLE (J Jacobs) which rolled out. e) WILLIAM OF ORANGE (S Hlengwa) hung out in the concluding stages. f) Jockey C Dicken reported that he felt something amiss with WAR EMPEROR in the early stages. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) ERIC'S LEGACY (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer B Forster acting for Trainer W A Nel was advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) Jockey D Daniels was the rider of HALF SOVEREIGN (advised 18.11.2025/7h09). b) Apprentice D D Louw (DARE TO TRY) was only able to claim 3kg of his 4kg apprentice allowance and weighed out at 49.8kg.
