THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CHARLIE BUCKET (JP van der Merwe) was reluctant to load. b) ERIKS LOVE (M Yeni) jumped slow, losing one length. c) LOVE FROM AFAR (C Orffer), GIMME THE TRUTH (C Little) and SATELLITE WORLD (*N Yuen) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Between the 500m and the 400m CHARLIE BUCKET (JP van der Merwe) was carried out by PERFECT IMPACT (C Zackey), which was hanging out on the turn and then shifted out on entering the straight. b) Approaching the 100m Jockey JP van der Merwe (CHARLIE BUCKET) had difficulty changing his crop from his left hand to his right hand. c) MAN OF CONSEQUENCE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
