THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WORLD FIRST (S Veale) and CONDITIONALLY (O Noach) were slow into stride. b) PHANTOM MAN (S Moodley) jumped outwards. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start WORLD FIRST (S Veale) was brushed by PHANTOM MAN (S Moodley), which had jumped outwards. b) LEIF ERIKSON (*S Bungane) raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. c) From the 300m GREENCHOICE (*N Yuen) commenced to hang out and shifted out until the finish. d) In view of the performance of FORT IMPREZA ( M Yeni), which had to be ridden along to hold its position from the 700m, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) WORLD FIRST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer VH Marshall was advised.
