THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ERIC LIDDELL (JP van der Merwe) and TOTHEMOONANDBACK (G van Niekerk) jumped slow, losing one length. b) CHASING GOLD (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m SPECIAL GLAMOUR (S Moodley) was steadied briefly when close to the heels of THE NIGHT FERRY (R Fourie), which commenced to hang out, shifted out and was immediately straightened. Thereafter, THE NIGHT FERRY (R Fourie) continued to hang out until the finish and proved a difficult ride. b) In the concluding stages, CHASING GOLD (M Yeni) was brushed outwards by RED STATE (C Zackey), which was hanging out in the straight and shifted out slightly. c) WEHAVEASITUATION, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer PP Kruyer was advised.
