THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HIS MAJESTY (IRE) (R Fourie) jumped slow, losing one length. b) HAT'S PRIDE (C Little) took an awkward stride leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, LITTLE SUZIE (JP van der Merwe), which raced with its head to the side and showed a tendency to hang out, clipped the heels of SOOTY (D Ashby) and stumbled when SOOTY (D Ashby) shifted in marginally. Jockey D Ashby appeared before the Boad and was advised to take more care in similar circumstances. b) After being slow to begin, HIS MAJESTY (IRE) (R Fourie) was taken in behind runners from its outside draw. c) POWERANDTHEGLORY (G Lerena) over raced in the early and middle stages and was hanging out in the straight. d) LITTLE SUZIE (JP van der Merwe) raced awkwardly on the turn. e) Jockey G Lerena (POWERANDTHEGLORY) had his crop accidentally struck from his grasp at the 150m by the crop of Jockey C Little (HAT'S PRIDE) f) When questioned regarding the improved performance of IT IS MY TIME compared to his previous race on 2 November 2025, Trainer D McLachlan told the Stewards that he had fitted this gelding with blinkers which, in his opinion, had accounted for the improved performance. Trainer D McLachlan was advised to race this gelding similarly equipped in future engagements. g) IT IS MY TIME, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D McLachlan was advised.
