THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ACTION AMERICA (C Little) was stubborn loading. b) ABOVE THE HORIZON (L Mxothwa) was stubborn loading and thereafter was slow into stride. c) ROYAL KINGDOM (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h01) b) Permission was granted for ROYAL KINGDOM (R Fourie) and EAST COAST GIRL (C Zackey) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) Shortly after the start ABOVE THE HORIZON (L Mxothwa) made slight contact with ACTION AMERICA (C Little), which jumped outwards. d) ROYAL KINGDOM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
