THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	PALANCAR (M van Rensburg), THUNDER MASTER (K Strydom), PIBE DE ORO (C Little) and ONLY A POET (*N Nastili) were slow into stride.	 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (13h43)
b)	Permission was granted for GLOBAL DRUMBEAT (M Yeni) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	GOLDEN GREY (R Fourie) over raced in the early and middle stages.
d)	GOLD GUNNER (L Mxothwa), which over raced in the early and middle stages, had to steady momentarily when close to the heels of ROTOTO (MK Katjedi) at approximately the 900m.
e)	KING RAHUL (*B Soodoo) shifted out away from the crop from the 200m.
f)	GLOBETONIC (Y Ramzan) was hanging out from the 200m.
g)	Jockeys M van Rensburg (PALANCAR) and C Little (PIBE DE ORO) reported that they felt something amiss with these geldings. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
	Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with PIBE DE ORO on his return to the stables.
h)	KING RAHUL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer Z Oosthuizen was advised. (LM)
