THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SWEETIE DARLING (C Little) was stubborn loading. b) GOLDEN PAVILION (Y Ramzan) rushed the front gates, jumped awkwardly and thereafter was slow into stride. c) ROMAN AGENT (W Agrella) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h13) b) Permission was granted for PARIS LASS (S Naidoo) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) YAMADORI (C Zackey) was hanging in from the 350m. d) GOLDEN PAVILION (Y Ramzan) raced wide without cover on the turn and into the straight and thereafter was hanging in from the 300m. e) CLIFF TOP (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 250m. f) Jockey W Agrella reported that ROMAN AGENT did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) CLIFF TOP, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
