THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GIVE ME EVERYTHING (C Zackey) and DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (A Fortune) jumped slow, losing one length. b) SWIATEK (R Fourie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 300m RAINBOW LORIKEET (A Domeyer) was steadied briefly when tightened for room between DOUBLE GRAND SLAM (A Fortune) and KINDA WONDERFUL (C Murray), both of which shifted ground marginally. b) Jockey A Fortune appeared before the Board and was advised that while the Stewards accepted that double GRAND SLAM had won, his riding of this mare in the straight had come under notice from the Stewards. Jockey A Fortune was severely reprimanded and advised that in future, he should ride with sufficient vigour and determination so as to leave the Stewards with no room for query. c) DOUBLE GRAND SLAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer JJ Snaith, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised.
