THE STARTER REPORTED: a) EUPHRATES (S Moodley) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) TRIP TO PEACE (C Habib) was slow losing four lengths and thereafter slow into stride. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer C J Lensley was advised (BN). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FLYING ON MY MIND (*K J Lihaba) commenced to give ground to the field from the 400m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) MRS WONDERFUL (*M Mbuto) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the performance of SILENT FUTURE (K Matsunyane), (distance 25,00 lengths, betting 14/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey C Habib reported that TRIP TO PEACE did not stride out freely in running.
