THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ARASHI (G Lerena) tired badly in the concluding stages. Thereafter, Jockey G Lerena reported that he felt something amiss with this filly in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. b) In view of the performance of FRANCILIEN (C Zackey), (distance 5,15 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) CAPE SAFFRON (J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
