THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VIBE SA (G Lerena) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer M Peter, acting on behalf of Trainer A P Peter, was advised (GT). b) TWENTYTWENTYVISION (S Khumalo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. c) ONE MORE STAR (*K J Lihaba) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) JOOST DROOCHSLOOT (C Habib) proved intractable cantering to the start and was subsequently scratched. This gelding is suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.4, until such time as he proves tractable cantering to the start on a Raceday. Trainer A G Laird advised (RH) b) Shortly after the start, VIBE SA (G Lerena) and TWENTYTWENTYVISION (S Khumalo), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls, came together and bumped. c) In view of the performance of HEMISPHERE (C Zackey), (distance 14,50 lengths, betting 7/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) In view of the performance of ROCK OF BISMANTOVA (K Matsunyane), (distance 21,90 lengths, betting 33/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) Jockey G Lerena reported that VIBE SA took a number of awkward strides in running.
