Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAUDIUM bolted to the start, was restrained by Jockey L Mxothwa, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed suitable to race. Thereafter, this filly was nervous in the stalls. b) FIVE STAR MAGIC (MK Katjedi) was stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls, causing a delay. c) KENTUCKY LASSIE (W Agrella) was stubborn loading. d) OCEAN FLAME (M van Rensburg) was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. e) TORI'S GIRL (K Minnie) jumped slow, losing two lengths. f) ICONIC WINTER (C Habib) jumped slow, losing one length. g) ENGELANDPARK (C Little) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. h) MANURIKI (Y Ramzan) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start ICONIC WINTER (C Habib) was carried inwards by OCEAN FLAME (M van Rensburg) which in turn was carried inwards by ENGELANDPARK (C Little), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) ICONIC WINTER (C Habib) had to steady momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of OCEAN FLAME (M van Rensburg) at the 800m. c) ENGELANDPARK (C Little) was hanging in from the 200m. d) Jockey MK Katjedi reported that FIVE STAR MAGIC did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) Jockey M van Rensburg reported that OCEAM FLAME coughed post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. f) In view of the performance of LAUDIUM (L Mxothwa), which bolted to the start, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) In view of the report from the Starter regarding FIVE STAR MAGIC (MK Katjedi), this mare's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 29/11/2025 to 05/12/2025 inclusive) FIVE STAR MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. h) Trainer JP Nel was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented ICE SPEAR incorrectly shod in the parade ring. Trainer JP Nel signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R2500.00. i) IZANAMI, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC Greeff was advised.
