Stipes Report

DURING THE LOADING PROCESS, CHROME TOURMALINE (C LITTLE) KICKED THE BACK GATE, RESULTING IN KOMATI RIVER (K MATSUNYANE) BECOMING RESTLESS AND  BREAKING THROUGH THE FRONT GATES. KOMATI RIVER WAS RESTRAINED BY JOCKEY K MATSUNYANE, RETURNED TO THE START, EXAMINED BY THE VETERINARY SURGEON, DECLARED FIT TO RACE AND RELOADED. SIMULTANEOUSLY, BLIZZARD SNOW (R A VENNIKER) BECAME RESTLESS, WAS REMOVED FROM THE STALLS, EXAMINED BY THE VETERINARY SURGEON, DECLARED FIT TO RACE AND RELOADED. THESE INCIDENTS CAUSED A DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	During the loading process, CHROME TOURMALINE (C Little) kicked the back gate, resulting in KOMATI RIVER (K Matsunyane) becoming restless,  and breaking through the front gates. KOMATI RIVER was restrained by Jockey K Matsunyane, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. Simultaneously, BLIZZARD SNOW (R A Venniker) became restless, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, declared fit to race and reloaded. 
Trainer F P Habib was advised to reschool CHROME TOURMALINE prior to her next engagement (GT).
Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool BLIZZARD SNOW prior to her next engagement (GT).
b)	ALMOND SEA (S Moodley) was slow, losing three lengths.
	Trainer A P Peter was advised to reschool ALMOND SEA prior to her next engagement (GT).
c)	FATAL FLAW (C Murray) and MALIBU (M van Rensburg) were slow losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Jockey G Lerena reported that RACHEL WALL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running.
