Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	SISTER GOLDEN HAIR (*K J Lihaba) and FIRE IN HER SOUL (M van Rensburg) were slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	The Stipendiary Board called a race review into the start with regards to OPEN SESAME (C Murray) in stall gate 6.  It was established, on reviewing the patrol films from the various angles, that OPEN SESAME  had got her muzzle caught in the grill of the front starting stall gate, which precluded this filly's stall gate from opening when the gates were released. This resulted in OPEN SESAME losing a significant amount of ground to the field. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 61.5.10.1, declared this filly to be a non-runner.
b)	ALTA CAPITANA (S Khumalo) tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
c)	In view of the performance of VALENTINA BALDUCCI (K Matsunyane), (distance 12,80 lengths, betting 9/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
d)	Jockey C Habib reported that he felt something amiss with SILVA CITY in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
e)	Jockey C Zackey reported that UNITED OFFER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. 	
f)	Jockey M van Rensburg reported that FIRE IN HER SOUL took no interest in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
g)	HAZY DAZY (*T Mayhew), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
