THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE AMBULANCE'S LATE ARRIVAL AT THE START AFTER  TRANSPORTING JOCKEY S MOODLEY AND JOCKEY J PENNY TO THE MEDICAL CENTRE. 

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	MARAUDING HORDE (C Murray) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.	
b)	DON'T CRY FOR ME (R Fourie) was slow, losing two lengths.
c)	INFINITE WONDER (P Mxoli) was slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Leaving the 300m, BEYNAC (M van Rensburg), which hung in, was steadied to avoid running onto the heels of ALADDIN'S LAMP (J P van der Merwe).
