THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) As the start was effected FIRELIGHTER (N Patel) threw its head down and thereafter fly-jumped leaving the starting stalls. b) At the 200m QUINN'S TIME (C F Dicken) was steadied away from the heels of DEFINITELY YES (C Habib) which rolled out. c) Apprentice B Marx-Jacobson reported that the saddle on SHIMMERING slipped back marginally in the running. This was confirmed by the Patrol Video. d) PROFESSOR LUPIN (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright was advised (SS).
