Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	LOVE OF QUALITY (G Behr) was reluctant to load, restless in the stalls and thereafter jumped slow, losing three lengths.
b)	AYA'S DREAM (M Yeni) and WORLD CHAMPION (L Mxothwa) was restless in the stalls.
c)	GREEN POINT (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing one length.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Shortly after the start, DOUBLE DISTILLED (*B Soodoo) was inconvenienced on the inside of KYLIE'S WORLD (O Noach), which shifted inwards and had to be straightened.
b)	Leaving the 600m DOUBLE DISTILLED (*B Soodoo) took an awkward stride away from the inside running rail.
c)	Between the 400m and the 150m TRAILFINDER (S Veale), which raced green and showed a tendency to hang outwards, was carried outwards by DIGBY (R Fourie), which was hanging out, shifted out and proved a difficult ride. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine DIGBY (R Fourie).
	Jockey S Veale called for a race review and after viewing the footage from all the different angles, took no further action.
	The racing manners of DIGBY were drawn to Trainer SW Humby's attention and he was advised that the Stewards will be monitoring this gelding's racing manners going forward.
d)	Approaching the 200m WORLD CHAMPION (L Mxothwa) was steadied briefly when close to the heels of TRAILFINDER (S Veale).  Thereafter, WORLD CHAMPION (L Mxothwa) was hanging out until the finish.
e)	Apprentice B Soodoo (DOUBLE DISTILLED) and Jockey JP van der Merwe (GREEN POINT) reported that their mounts changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these geldings.
f)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding LOVE OF QUALITY (G Behr), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to load on terms with a companion. (Suspension dates: 04/12/2025 to 10/12/2025 inclusive) LOVE OF QUALITY may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
g)	DIGBY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SW Humby was advised. (TJ)
