THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TITANS OF WAR (C Habib) jumped inwards, making contact with the right-side gate. b) DON'T CRY FOR ME (C Zackey) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Following the running of Race 1, in consultation with the Jockeys, the going was changed from Good to Soft to Soft. b) Jockey M Yeni, the rider of READ ALL ABOUT IT, briefly dropped his left-side rein shortly before the finish line. c) Trainer R R Magner was charged with a contravention of Rule 39.7.5 in that he failed to vaccinate TITANS OF WAR against Equine Influenza in accordance with the programme of vaccinations as published from time to time in the Racing Calendar. Trainer R R Magner signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1000. d) ROYAL EDITION (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
