Stipes Report

THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE.

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	GO JOHNNY GO (C Murray) and JAFFA (C Habib) were slow into stride.	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	At approximately the 100m, SPACE MISSION (C Zackey) was accidentally struck in the face by Jockey G Lerena's (FORCE PUBLIQUE) crop when racing in close proximity to each other.
b)	From the 100m, GO JOHNNY GO (C Murray) was carried in and bumped in by SHOREYBOMBA (S Khumalo), which shifted in away from the crop, which resulted in GO JOHNNY GO (C Murray) having to steady momentarily when carried onto the heels of FORCE PUBLIQUE (G Lerena) by SHOREYBOMBA (S Khumalo). 
An Objection was lodged by Jockey C Murray, on behalf of the third-placed horse, GO JOHNNY GO, against the second-placed horse, SHOREYBOMBA (S Khumalo), on the grounds of interference in the concluding stages. The Objection Board, after reviewing the patrol film of the race and hearing all the evidence put forward by the connections, was of the opinion that GO JOHNNY GO (C Murray) would have finished in front of SHOREYBOMBA (S Khumalo), barring this incident, and therefore upheld the Objection and amended the Judges' result to read as follows:
