Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	DESTINY'S ANGEL (Y Ramzan) jumped awkwardly, losing one length.
b)	GUY GIBSON (R Fourie) was slow into stride.	

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (15h27)
b)	Permission was granted for HAT'S WARNING (M Yeni) to be saddled at the back.
c)	Permission was granted for DESTINY'S ANGEL (Y Ramzan) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. 
d)	At approximately the 200m BRENDEN JAMES (S Khumalo) had to steady when awkwardly placed between the inside rail and FINAL TRY (K Minnie), which shifted inwards continuously from the 300m. 
Jockey K Minnie was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of FINAL TRY, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to BRENDEN JAMES at the 200m. Jockey K Minnie signed an Admission of Guilt and was given a warning.
In considering an appropriate penalty, the Board took into consideration the level of lateral movement in the race. 
e)	GLOBAL ALLY (X Ndlovu) was directed outwards and into clear running at approximately the 200m.
f)	JOKER MAN (M van Rensburg) was hanging in from the 200m.
g)	HAT'S PRIDE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SB Kotzen, acting on behalf of Trainer GS Kotzen, was advised. (LM)
