THE STARTER REPORTED:
a)	INVICTUS JET (M Mbuto ) was slow, losing one length.
b)	Shortly after the start, KORCULA (G Lerena) and CHICKASAW (M Yeni) came together and bumped.	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	Jockey P Mxoli was dislodged from LIEFLING, exiting the parade ring. Thereafter, LIEFLING bolted onto the racecourse and was subsequently scratched. Jockey P Mxoli was attended to by the course paramedics and was passed fit to continue riding. 
b)	LADY LANCASTER (J R Syster) commenced to over-race in the early stages. This resulted in this filly racing wide around the turn and into the straight. 
c)	KORCULA (G Lerena) was baulked for a clear run from the 600m to the 400m. 
d)	Leaving the 200m, RED ENCHANTRESS (L Nhlapo) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed between SIKELOI (*S Valjalo), which hung out from the 300m, and TOTAL ERUPTION (*T Mayhew), which shifted in marginally away from the crop.
e)	In view of the performance of INVICTUS JET (M Mbuto), (distance 5,70 lengths, betting 100/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.	
f)	In view of the performance of MATTER OF TRUST (C Habib), (distance 10,40 lengths, betting 14/1), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.		
g)	APOSTROPHE (M K Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
