Stipes Report
PRIOR TO THE RUNNING OF RACE 7, A TECHNICAL ISSUE ENSUED IN THE BOARDROOM. THEREAFTER THE TONGUE TIE ON KING'S SAILOR (C LITTLE) HAD TO BE REFITTED AT THE START. THESE INCIDENTS CAUSED A LENGTHY DELAY TO THE START OF THIS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ABOVE THE HORIZON (M K Katjedi) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls. b) MR BELVEDERE (*G Dookhit) was stubborn loading and thereafter slow into stride. c) SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) jumped awkwardly outwards leaving the stalls. d) ONLY A POET (*B Soodoo) was slow, losing two lengths and thereafter slow into stride. e) OUTBACK EXPRESS (*V Jodhee) and RUN THE WORLD (E Webber) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. (15h27) b) Shortly after the start, ABOVE THE HORIZON (M K Katjedi) and SILENT TRIGGER (C Habib) came together and bumped. c) Jockey C Little reported that KING'S SAILOR did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) ABOVE THE HORIZON, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S B Kotzen advised (LM). Race 7 contd. JOCKEY CHANGES: a) ABOVE THE HORIZON was ridden by Jockey M K Katjedi (declared 19 December 2025 at 08H02).
