THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (SR) : a) PASSAGE OF POWER (S Khumalo) raced wide around the turn. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that PASSAGE OF POWER took no interest around the turn and that thereafter he felt something amiss with this gelding in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) CIRCUMBENDIBUS (C F Dicken) hung in and shifted in from the 350m. d) CAPTAIN'S CHRISTY (K de Melo) hung in from the 200m. e) In view of the performances of DIANI (R A Venniker) (10.35 lengths and 33/1 in the betting) and BOURBON WARRIOR (T Godden) (8.25 lengths and 8/1 in the betting).
