a)	ICY NIGHT (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:

a)	At the 800m, BACK TO BASICS (L Mxothwa) which proved difficult to settle, shifted out and had to steady to avoid the heels of QUATTRO PASSI (D De Gouveia) which shifted inwards.
b)	In view of the performance of ICY NIGHT (G Lerena), (betting 33/10, distance 7,00 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
	Trainer P A Peter was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this filly on return to stables.
c)	Apprentice S Sosibo the rider of JP TWO THOUSAND, rode a satisfactory qualifying ride.
d)	Trainer P A Peter was charged with a contravention of Rule 11.2.8 in that he presented JP TWO THOUSAND equipped with a tongue tie in the parade ring when this gelding was not declared to run with a tongue tie fitted.  Trainer Peter signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250.
e)	LITTLE RAIN (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer B Botes advised (GF).
