THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIKI TAKA (*J R Syster) was slow losing two lengths. b) BLACK BURNER (J P van der Merwe) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1100m, TWICE AS SPLENDID (R Danielson) had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of VEGAS HI RISE (W Kennedy) after being carried in by BLACK BURNER (J P van der Merwe) which was carried in by SONG OF LIBERTY (*J Solomons) which commenced to hang in. b) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with BLACK BURNER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that PICTURE PERFECT was blowing post race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. d) VEGAS HI RISE (W Kennedy), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Peter advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PICTURE PERFECT raced fitted with a compression mask (declared 11 April 2022 at 13H53).
