THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUEEN'S PACT (M Yeni) stumbled leaving the stalls. b) CRYSTAL GROVE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 800m CLAIRWOOD ROSE (*RA Venniker) was carried in by PREDATRICE (MK Katjedi), which shifted in when proving difficult to settle. b) At approximately the 400m SEASON'S GREETINGS (C Habib) was steadied momentarily when awkwardly placed on the outside of PREDATRICE (MK Katjedi), which was carried out by WINDSOR SILK (C Maujean), which shifted out away from the crop. c) The saddle on FAR BEYOND (P Mxoli) slipped back in running. This was confirmed on the patrol film. d) Jockeys G Lerena (TEMPRANILLO) and MK Katjedi (PREDATRICE) reported that they felt something amiss with these fillies. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) DEAL MAKER (GB), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AP Peter was advised. (MS) JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) DEAL MAKER (GB) raced without blinkers. (declared 09h08 on 20251221) THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) TEMPRANILLO - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected.
