THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TIMELESS WONDER (M Thackeray) and SNOW WARRIOR (S Khumalo) were stubborn to load. b) BETTER NEVER ENDS (A Mgudlwa) was stubborn to load. Lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (JN) : a) Shortly after the start ME GET LUCKY (C F Dicken) was directed in, when awkwardly placed on the heels of ODE TO THE SEA (C Habib), which rolled out. b) ME GET LUCKY (C F Dicken) which pulled hard in the early stages, proved difficult to settle and tired rapidly from the 200m. Thereafter Jockey C F Dicken reported that he felt something amiss in the running with ME GET LUCKY. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) BETTER NEVER ENDS (A Mgudlwa) which raced green, hung in and shifted in from the 350m. d) SNOW WARRIOR (S Khumalo) raced green. e) KAVADY (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M Pandaram was advised (MM).
