The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of the horses at the start. The tongue tie on IMILENZEYOKUDUDUMA (S Veale) had to be replaced and simultaneously ISIVIVANE (M Yeni) was resaddled at the start. Steady rain fell prior to and during the running of this race. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPSAICIN (R A Venniker) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) ISIVIVANE (M Yeni) raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. b) NARINA TROGON (T Godden) was continuously baulked for a clear run between the 200m and the 50m. c) IMPOSING (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
