THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SACRED LILY (*D Pillay) jumped awkwardly losing 1 length. b) MARY READ (K Matsunyane) lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DA) : a) Trainer W Whitehead was questioned regarding the improved performance of FLYING REIGN STORM (C Habib) compared to its previous run on the 28/11/2025. Trainer W Whitehead could offer no suitable explanation for the improvement shown. Her attention was drawn to the Rules pertaining to in and out running. b) HEARTS ON FIRE (J Gates) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) SACRED LILY (*D Pillay) over raced in the early stages. Thereafter SACRED LILY (*D Pillay) hung out from the 150m. d) At the 150m Jockey J Gates (HEARTS ON FIRE) accidentally dropped his right side rein which he regained shortly thereafter. e) Jockey C Murray reported that CURIOUS GIRL took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Trainer M/M De kock will be asked to report back on the condition of CURIOUS GIRL on return to stables. f) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that he felt something amiss with MARY READ in the running and as a result he did not persevere with his riding in the straight. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the performance of COOL WIND (C Zackey) (9.50 lengths and 10/1 in the betting), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. h) FLYING REIGN STORM (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead was advised (DZ).
