THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BAD MEDICINE (M Yeni) and DYNALLEY (W Agrella) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (14h05) b) Jockey M Yeni appeared before the Board and was reminded of his obligation to ride his mounts out to the end of the race in a professional manner, regardless of the fact that he is far ahead of other runners. c) In view of the performance of RED WILLIAM (MK Katjedi), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) In view of the performance of MAKHACHEV (R Fourie) (Betting 7/2; Distance 13.25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainer K Mitchley was advised to report back should she find anything amiss with this gelding on his return to the stables. e) BAD MEDICINE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
