THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	RED WILLIAM (C Orffer) was restless in the stalls and jumped slow, losing three lengths.
b)	MATSUYAMO (D Ashby) jumped slow, losing five lengths.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 
 
a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, HEATHCLIFF (L Mxothwa) cast his right front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay.
b)	At the 400m INTIMIDATOR (G van Niekerk), which raced green, was steadied, losing momentum when racing tight between HEATHCLIFF (L Mxothwa) and CORONATION TIME (A Andrews). 
c)	At the 100m INTIMIDATOR (G van Niekerk) rolled out and became awkwardly placed on the inside of CORONATION TIME (A Andrews).
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding RED WILLIAM (C Orffer), Trainer GS Kotzen will be advised to have this gelding re- schooled before his next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	In view of the report from the starter regarding MATSUYAMO (D Ashby), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 25/04/2022 to 01/05/2022 inclusive). MATSUYAMO may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
f)	LORD WILLIAM, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Alsop, acting on behalf of Trainer VH Marshall, was advised. (JF)
