THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUMMER SHADE (L Nhlapo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUMMER SHADE (L Nhlapo) was hanging out on the turn and, as a consequence, raced wide without cover. b) In the concluding stages, SALT LAKE CITY broke down and dislodged Jockey C Habib. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that READY SET FIRE made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) FOSTINOVO, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. (MdP) JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SALT LAKE CITY - broke down left front fetlock. Humanely euthanised. A specimen was collected for analysis.
