Stipes Report
THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VJ'S ANGEL (R Fourie) and KINDA WONDERFUL (C Murray) jumped slow, losing one length. b) GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) VJ'S ANGEL (R Fourie) failed to parade in front of the grandstand. Trainer AE Sands was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she may be suspended. b) After being slow to begin, VJ'S ANGEL (R Fourie) refused to gallop throughout the race and finished tailed off. This filly is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 and until such time as she proves to tractable from the starting stalls and gallops with a companion on a race day to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. c) Leaving the 100m GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe), which showed a tendency to hang out and initially shifted out, was brushed inwards by KINDA WONDERFUL (C Murray), which shifted in away from the crop and was immediately straightened. A member of the Stipendiary Board called for a race review and after reviewing the patrol film and taking into account the distance of 0.3 of a length between the two horses concerned, were of the opinion that GET IMPRESSED (JP van der Merwe) would not have finished ahead of KINDA WONDERFUL (C Murray) and took no further action. d) KINDA WONDERFUL, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
