Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	OLIVE OYL (R Fourie) was nervous in the stalls and kicked the back gates, was taken out and reloaded and thereafter jumped slow, losing one length. 
b)	WELSH STARLET (*B Soodoo) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride.
c) 	AMAZING COLOURS (X Ndlovu) jumped awkwardly. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (16h06)
b)	Permission was granted for SCHIPOLE (J Gates), AMAZING COLOURS (X Ndlovu) and BLIND FAITH (E Webber) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start.
c)	BLIND FAITH (E Webber) jumped awkwardly inwards and made slight contact with AMAZING COLOURS (X Ndlovu) shortly after the start. 
d)	WELSH STARLET (*B Soodoo) jumped awkwardly outwards. Simultaneously, OLIVE OYL (R Fourie) jumped inwards. As a consequence, these two fillies made contact shortly after the start. 
e)	GREENLIGHT SKYE (W Agrella) was cramped for galloping room when awkwardly placed on the inside of SESAME (C Little), which was carried inwards slightly by BLIND FAITH (E Webber), which in turn was carried inwards by QONDANEKUKHANYENI (M van Rensburg), which shifted inwards slightly at approximately the 1800m.
Jockey M van Rensburg appeared before the Board and was advised to keep his mounts on a straight course in similar circumstances.
f)	In view of the performance of OLIVE OYL (R Fourie) (Betting 28/10; Distance 6.00 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. 
g)	WELSH STARLET, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer JVA Strydom was advised. (SP)
