a)	ULTRA QUICK (*D D Louw) over-raced in the early and middle stages and as a result raced in advance of the field.
b)	GOLDEN MOMENT (K Matsunyane) raced wide around the latter part of the turn and into the straight. 
c)	Jockey A Mgudlwa signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, (Appendix E; Guideline M), in that, as rider of WINTER WAVES, he misused his crop by striking this gelding more than twelve times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R2000 was imposed.
d)	Trainer A Wright signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1, in that she failed to ensure that she had the colours of the owner/s for WINTER WAVES available. Accordingly, a penalty of a warning was imposed. 
e)	IBUTHO (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Wright was advised (DZ).
