THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED (DM) : a) Shortly after the start, GRAND FORCE (*D D Louw) was brushed by KAAPSE KLOPSE (S Khumalo) which shifted in. b) In the concluding stages, BARRY DU GROND (C Zackey) was steadied in anticipation of being awkwardly placed between NDAKA (R Venniker) and TRAFALGAR SQUARE (*M Mbuto) which rolled in. c) Jockey C Zackey reported that BARRY DU GROND made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) AXIS POWER (S Hlengwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G Puller was advised (HM).
