THE START OF THIS RACE WAS DELAYED DUE TO THE DELAY IN THE PREVIOUS RACE. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ERUPTION INTHE SKY (J Mariba) was stubborn loading. Trainer R Klaasen was advised to reschool this filly prior to her next engagement (BN). b) BE MY FATE (M van Rensburg) and CRANBERRY POINT (J R Syster) were slow, losing one length. c) LANTERI (K Matsunyane) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) BE MY FATE (M van Rensburg) raced green. c) Jockey J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with CRANBERRY POINT in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Jockey J Mariba reported that ERUPTION INTHE SKY did not stride out freely in running.
