THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ACROSS THE POND (J R Syster) stood, losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Stable Employee P de Palma, acting on behalf of Trainer S J Gray, was advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels, and no retests were recorded. b) A race review was called into the start of this Race with regards to BOOM BOOM (K Matsunyane) in stall gate 5, where it was established that this mare had only been partially loaded into the starting stalls when the start was effected. The Board, acting in terms of Rule 61.6.11, declared her to be a non-runner. c) ACROSS THE POND (J R Syster) stood, losing many lengths. Thereafter, this filly refused to gallop. This filly is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.2.4 and until such time as she proves tractable from the starting stall and gallops with a companion on a Raceday to the satisfaction of the Stipendiary Stewards. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ACROSS THE POND, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn, and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 9 January 2026 to 15 January 2026. ACROSS THE POND may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Stable Employee P de Palma, acting on behalf of Trainer S J Gray, was advised. e) LITTLEMISSMILLION (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) IT'S HER WAY was ridden by Jockey C Habib (declared 8 January 2026 at 08H43). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) BAKWENA raced without ear muffs (declared 6 January 2026 at 08H45). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CEUTA blowing post-race. b) STREISAND choked up. Race 6 contd.
