THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KINGS AGAIN (X Ndlovu) was nervous, reared in the stalls and thereafter, was slow into stride. b) PRISCILLA MAISEY (M Yeni) jumped awkwardly. c) HAPPY WIVES (K Minnie) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) All horses selected for TCO2 were within the required levels and no retests were recorded. (12h17) b) Permission was granted for SMASHING (M Van Rensburg) to be assisted by a lead pony when proceeding to the start. c) PRISCILLA MAISEY (M Yeni) was hanging in from the 200m and was straightened shortly before the finish. d) Jockey R Fourie reported that GREAT NOTION was blowing post-race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) UNCONQUERABLE LADY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
